We dislike fundraising.
But we love ministry and college kids.
The current reality is that there are two representatives for two ministries across the street from Ridgewater College- United Campus Ministry and Lutheran Campus Ministry are active at Ridgewater College. We work in collaboration with each other, and also each have unique ministries here on campus. We serve a campus of over 2500 students... there's no way we- Jeff and Amy- can do it on our own.
So how can you help? Here's what YOUR campus ministry needs: we need communities, congregations, families and individuals who love the Lord to love these college students and support having a staffed ministry that focuses on helping them grow in faith. These students are coming from all around the continent, here for a year or two, and then sent out into the world -- to other colleges, to communities, to families -- and they need to know about Jesus Christ. This is Matthew 28 and the Great Commission at the ground level!
The Campus Ministry Center receives no support from Ridgewater College. This center and the staff are funded by the generous donations of churches and individuals. If that support doesn't happen, then ministry doesn't happen. It's our sincerest hope that the community of believers buys into this mission in this community.
Or...do you have a desire to provide a meal for around 200 students? Get a few friends together, and perhaps three roasters of food, and have fun helping us serve by serving a meal! Click here to sign up!
